Dear Women,

Good morning! I hope this week is starting off well for you. Best part about Monday’s you ask? The end. The worst part? Knowing that you’re just starting off your entire work week. And for some of us this can be worse than others. Short and to the point with this one; Not every job you take is perfect, not ever position you work is geared towards your future and ideally what you want to be doing. And no job, ever, despite how good or bad or indifferent it may be, defines you. Ever. And my heart truly goes out to all of you who, for whatever reason; economy, poor decision, poor advice, or really just having no other choice, are waking up every day miserable and feeling unfulfilled at work. Please do not think this in any way defines or represents you or your character, it does not. What does is how you handle this situation, to make the most of it, and to use it, ideally, as a stepping stone or launch-pad to get to where you really want to be. And I get it, we all need to provide for ourselves/our families, and eat, and have shelter, but that doesn’t mean to give up on your dreams or big plans. Work that job, give it your all and earn your paycheck every week. That doesn’t mean that you’re giving up on what you really want to do or that you need to be super passionate and in love with your current job. It just means you’re not lazy, you’re not willing to just coast by in life, and that you truly are willing to work for what you want. Then use your other time to strive for your dreams or the job you really want, or the position that you think is your true calling. Just because you’re working, or even just got a job doesn’t mean you can’t pursue what you really want to be doing. So, keep your head up, wear a smile (it looks good on ya) and understand that you can, still, at any age, be the person you want to be, obtain the job you want to obtain and still follow your dreams. Yes, it gets harder, but it’s never impossible. Set a game-plan, stick to it, own your dreams and make them a reality. “You see, I ain’t never had a dream in my life, because a dream is what you want to do but still haven’t pursued. I knew what I wanted, and did it till it was done. So I’ve been the dream that I wanted to be since day one.” (Aesop Rock – No Regrets). Follow your dreams, be who you want to be, live life the way you need to so you can survive and as always, Smile On. Much Love.

Sincerely,
Hopeless Romantics
